Academic Overview

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduation requirements go beyond the required curriculum for most college admissions.  the middle and uper school program includes required and elecive courses, paysical education, computer and fine arts.  Students in the middle school and high school attend a traditional 7 period day with 6 core classes and one elective.  The year is divided into two semesters with a grade given at the end of each semester.  All semester drades 9-12 become a part of  the high school transcripts.  Grade point averages are computed using semester grades.

 ► Course Descriptions

Teachers work together to promote a relevant academic program. With regular, honors, and advanced placement classes offered, every student has the opportunity to be challenged.  Honors courses generally cover the same material as regular courses, move at a faster pace, involve more intensive study, and require students to take more responsibility for learning.  The advanced placement courses are taught at a college level, terminating with an examination written by the College Board.
